A lamp is 7.2 m above the ground. A boy 1.8 m tall stands 4.5 m from the foot of the lamp-post. Find the length of his shadow.

Triangle PQR has sides 4.5 cm, 6 cm and 7.5 cm. Triangle XYZ has sides 6 cm, 8 cm and 10 cm. Are they similar? If yes, name the criterion and state the ratio of corresponding sides.

In Δ ABC, DE || BC with AD = x + 1, DB = x − 2, AE = 2x − 2 and EC = x − 1. Find x.
