(v)In Section C, Question numbers 9 to 11 are short answer (SA) type questions carrying 03 marks each.
(vi)Draw neat figures wherever required. Take π = 22/7 wherever required, if not stated.
(vii)Use of calculators is not allowed.
SECTION A
This section comprises 5 questions of 1 mark each.
1.What is the degree of 7y³ − 2y + 4?
1 2.Find the value of 3x + 5 when x = −4.
1 3.Write the slope and y-intercept of y = 4x − 9.
1 4.Is 1, 4, 7, 10, … a linear pattern? Write the next term.
1 5.Write the equation of the line through the origin with slope −2.
1 SECTION B
This section comprises 3 very short answer (VSA) type questions of 2 marks each.
6.Ruby has 3 times as many two-rupee coins as five-rupee coins, totalling ₹88. How many coins of each type does she have?
