(vi)Draw neat figures wherever required. Take π = 22/7 wherever required, if not stated.

This section comprises 5 questions of 1 mark each.

In cyclic quadrilateral ABCD, ∠A = 65°. Find ∠C.

This section comprises 3 very short answer (VSA) type questions of 2 marks each.

A circle has radius 10 cm and a chord is 6 cm from the centre. Find the length of the chord.
7.2
An arc subtends 130° at the centre. Find the angle it subtends at a point on the major arc.
8.2
PQRS is a cyclic quadrilateral with ∠P = (2x + 10)° and ∠R = (3x − 20)°. Find x, ∠P and ∠R.
SECTION C
This section comprises 3 short answer (SA) type questions of 3 marks each.

Prove that the perpendicular from the centre of a circle to a chord bisects the chord.

Parallel chords of 6 cm and 8 cm lie in a circle of radius 5 cm. Find the distance between them if they are (a) on opposite sides of the centre and (b) on the same side.
